Puppies Homepage
When buying a puppy, it is more important to look at the parents than it is to look at the puppy. All puppies are cute and irresistible. Seeing the behavior, performance, and physical structure of the sire and dam will give you a clear idea of what you can expect from your dog. Your puppy will only be small for the first 6 months. It will be an adult size for the next twelve years or more, so seeing the father and mother will be a more accurate picture of your puppy.
We work hard to match you with the appropriate dog because we don’t want you to buy a puppy that will not be right for you in the long run. After thirty years of breeding, raising, training, and living with a variety of sporting dogs we have to observe each breed's strengths and challenges. Because we have been doing this for over a three decades, we are well-qualified to assist you in determining which breed is right for you and your future dog.

When you purchase a Kirby Mountain puppy, we don’t disappear after your check has been cashed. For the lifetime of your Kirby Mountain sporting dog, we are available to help answer any questions about your dog that you may have.
Many people wait months for their puppies and often reserve a pup before the mom is bred. A great dog is worth waiting for; however, our litters are often sold before they are ready to leave. In order to insure your pick of a litter, a $200 non-refundable deposit is required. Please specify the litter, sex, breed, and any other preferences you may have regarding a puppy. |
Your pick of the litter will depend on the arrival date of your deposit.
Puppies between the ages of birth and 8 weeks will not be viewed for health and safety reasons (see Can I Visit the Puppies? link); however, you are more than welcome to set up an appointment to visit the parents of the expected litter. Most of the sires and dams at our facility can also be seen on our Sires & Dams pages of this site. As stated above, seeing the parents will give you the best view of what your dog will be like for its long life. To see pictures of our current litters, to hear about our litters-to-come, and to ask us questions about the puppies, connect with us on our Facebook page: Kirby Mountain Kennels or by phone. |
